Dear Sir, I am an Evangelist from Australia. I felt led of the Lord to write a poem on spiritual warfare based on Ephesians 6. It was the hardest poem to complete, the devil fought me all the way - but the Lord gave me the victory. If you wish to use it and pass it on to others to use, please do so. Warfare
Ephesians: 6:10 - 18
I place the belt of truth
around my waist,
(Isaiah 11:5)
Exposing all the devils schemes
and lies.
(2Cor. 2:11)
Deception cannot blind me;
(2Cor. 4:4
)
Gods holy word reminds me
( John 17:17)
The truth of God will conquer
and suffice.
The Breastplate of God's righteousness
I don.
(Isa. 59:17)
I stand in His authority and
might.
(Titus 2:15)
Dead works are vain and vile,
(Heb. 6:1)
And on their own defile,
(Titus. 3:5) In Christ alone am I made just and right. (Rom. 8:33-34)
The Gospel shoes of peace I now put
on,
(Isa. 53:5)
Paid for by His wounds and
blood and love:
(Col. 1:20)
To spread the gospel news,
(Isa. 52:7)
And
fill the empty Pews,
(Mt. 24:14)
And populate the mansions up
above.
Faith in Jesus is the shield I raise.
(Psalm 18:30)
His
promises deflect each fiery dart.
(Rom. 4:20)
Shielding those who trust,
(Psalm 18:3
Believing is a must,
(John. 20:27)
The
Word of faith will garrison my heart.
(Jas 5:15)
My Helmet of salvation is in place
(1 Thess. 5:8 )
I’m shielded
from deceptions subtle kiss.
(Isa. 59:17
When the devil spins
his lies,
(John 8:44
I see through his disguise
(2Cor. 2:11}
I resist you satan, in JESUS
name, dismiss!
(James 4:7)
I take the Spirit’s double-edged
sword.
(Rev. 1:16)
I wield
it till I hear the victory
bell.
With Word that's sharp and
sure,
(Heb. 4:12)
I smite and wound and gore,
And with my God I storm the gates of
hell.
(Mat. 16:18)
