What does Jesus means to you?
Before you answer this question, allow me to express my thoughts on what
Jesus means to me:
1. When I accepted Jesus I expected a new life, a
new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new attitude, new eyes, new
ears, a new mouth, and a new heart. To accept Jesus is to accept
transformation. To become a Christian is to accept Jesus as Lord and
Savior, but also is to strive to change our ways.
2. Even though Jesus is perfect, we are not. Daily we have to strive to
make Jesus the center of our lives, the center of all our activities and
decisions.
3. Even though our desire is to walk with Jesus, the journey is not
easy. Our human nature interferes with this walk. The world offers too
many distractions, which can keep us off track, interrupting our
journey.
4. When having conversations with others, Jesus must not be left out, make
an effort to make Him part of the conversation.
4. When working remind yourself that you are working for Jesus. When studying
try to keep in mind that Jesus is teaching you. He is opening your mind
to receive knowledge that will bring glory to His name.
6. When preaching the Word of God, Jesus must take a prominent role in
our mind, heart, and mouth.
7. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, in reality we are aligning our heart to
Jesus' heart. To see Jesus is to become more like Him.
8. Jesus walked among human beings as a human being. He
demonstrated a pure heart, an exceptional character, an extraordinary
compassion, love, and meekness. He was always ready to forgive, to heal,
and to set free, He never sinned, never lied, was never afraid, or
intimidated. He confronted death and conquered it.
9. The closer we get to Jesus, the greater will be the relationship with Him.
We are able to closely listen to Him, and know Him more. At
times we can distance ourselves from Him. But Jesus never
distance himself from us, no matter what we have done.
10. This world is perishing without Jesus. Darkness is overtaking the
human mind, body and spirit. But light always overtakes darkness (at
night if you open the window of your lighted room, the light will rush
to overcome the darkness outside, and not the other way around). Jesus
is the light of the world.
11. Jesus is the light of the world, His light lights the light inside
me. I am light and salt to the world. I am an imitator of Jesus Christ.
12. Only Jesus is able to fill the hole we feel in our hearts, bring peace to
our minds, end the endless spiritual search, and bring hope to our
lives.
13. Jesus is the one who defends, the rock that supports, the
friend who rescues, the one who brings reconciliation, who protects, who forgives, who heals, who comforts, who intercedes
before the Father.
16. Anything that Jesus touches cannot remain the same, everything is
transformed. When our eyes finds Jesus' eyes, everything will look different,
we see things others cannot see, we hear things others cannot hear, we speak words that others cannot speak, and
we walk paths that others
cannot walk.
17. The presence of Jesus in one's life restricts impulses of anger, repress
temptations, deliver from pride and envy, put an end to impure
thoughts, bring healing to the mental, spiritual, and physical body.
18. When ministering in the name of Jesus, we are empowered and have
authority to use His name. We become more courageous, less fearful, full of love, compassion, and
peace.
19. Jesus is the sum and the center of all divine
revelation, of all truth, and all knowledge. Jesus transcend all philosophies,
all wisdom, all ways of living, and all ways to heaven.
20. You will never know who you are until you know who Jesus is!
21. The more you know Jesus, the more you want to be like Him.
22. Jesus is the creator, the Savior of the world, the King of kings and
the Lord of lords.
23. The name of Jesus is to be treasured. The Bible tells us not only to ask for
anything in the name of Jesus, but also to do everything in His name.
24. As Christian believers we:
Anoint in His name
